The Cult goddess of South India, Karumariamman is extensively worshipped in areas of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Singapore, Malaysia and parts of Australia. During the auspicious Aadi month, from time memorial, it was believe that the worship of Mata Karumariamman is supposed to bring rains and cure various diseases like Chicken Pox, cholera etc.
This face is most dominantly used during Kavadi festival.
